Receptionist

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the vacant position of a Receptionist.

Create an environment where guests feel valued and welcome to encourage repeat business and maximise guest satisfaction.
Ensure that meticulous care is taken in handling your reception float and that you carry out all the necessary balances and checks at the end of each shift.
Actively be involved in all aspects of Front Office operations, (reservations, switchboard, porters), to enable you assist as and when required.
Ensure that guests are greeted, checked-in and allocated rooms promptly and courteously using their name at least twice during the check-in process.
Ensure that Registration cards are properly completed with relevant details and that the same are filed appropriately on departure of the guest.
Check arrivals and departure lists daily and identify special guests needs i.e. VIPs, Room Allocations, Airport transfers etc.
Ensure that you answer the telephone promptly and efficiently within three rings using the appropriate language and according to preset hotel standards and procedures.
Ensure that guest messages are recorded and delivered within 10 minutes of being taken.
Ensure that you respond to guests requests promptly and efficiently ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.

Diploma in Front Office Operations, those with a Certificate in Front Office Operations with more than 2 years’ experience can also apply.
Must be computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Good interpersonal skills
Good command of the English language (both written and spoken)
Self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision.
