Floresta will begin its work by targeting a few key watersheds in the Viphya Plateau region of northern Malawi because of its steep terrain, deforestation, and level of poverty. LOGISTICS ASSISTANT (DRIVER) X2
Brief Job Summary
Reporting to: HR and Administration Officer Location: Country Office, Lilongwe and Field Office
Positions reporting to the job holder: None
Job Purpose Summary:
General administration and clerical duties in order to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the office. The core functions of the position are maintaining the vehicle and office hygiene and cleanliness, driving organizational vehicles, conducting vehicle inspections and diagnostic tests, maintaining vehicle service records and logbooks, production of reports not limited to vehicle and fuel usage, and management of vehicle maintenance and licensing, timely reporting of identified problems.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Mature with at least 30 years of age
- Malawi School Certificate of Education
- Valid Class PG, PSV Driving License free from any endorsement
- Defensive Driving License
- First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from a recognized Institution
- Three (3) years of relevant experience
- Those with a Grade 3 Motor Vehicle Mechanic Certificate or Diploma in Logistics will be an added advantage
REMUNERATION:
The successful candidates shall be offered a negotiated performance-related contract for a period of two years, with an attractive salary and benefits package commensurate with the seniority of the position.
