Airport Developments Limited (ADL) is a Company fully owned by Malawi Government and was incorporated under the English Companies Statutes of 1908 and 1913 which regulated Companies in Malawi before 1986.

ADL is responsible for the management of Kamuzu International Airport and facilitation of smooth, safe and secure movement of air travelers and cargo through provision of world class infrastructure, services and effective management of airports in an environmentally sustainable manner for socio-economic development.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant position tenable at ADL Head office in Lilongwe.

REGISTRY SUPERVISOR (One Position)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Ensuring that the organization’s data, information, records and archival resources are generated, used, secured, maintained and disposed of efficiently and systematically.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing and be custodian of records management policies and guidelines;
• Developing records management tools such as functional filing indexes, file movement cards, file transit sheets, records retention and disposal schedules, and transmittal lists;
• Implementing records management tools;
• Maintaining records centrally in the Records Office; • Providing security to records;
• Providing access to records and accounting for their movement and return to the Records Office;
• Maintaining semi and non-current records systematically in the organization’s mini-archives;
• Conducting records disposition in line with the organization’s records retention and disposal schedule,
• Reviewing and updating records management tools; Registration and dispatch of outgoing mails;
• Receipt, registration, coding and forwarding incoming letters and other correspondence to proper departments and officers;
• Maintenance of archives, making sure that files are properly stored and accessible;
• Set up and maintenance of the office filling system in accordance with the company filling system;
• Preparation of correspondence and reports related to registry activities;
• Opening new files and subject files as required and disposal of old files in accordance with the established retention schedule;
• Orienting organization staff on good records management practices; and
• Carrying out any other records management related activities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Diploma in records and archives management or any other related field from recognized institution.
• Those with Bachelor’s Degree in records management will have an added advantage.
• At least five (5) years successful experience in records and achieve management

REMUNERATION PACKAGE

REMUNERATION

Remuneration package payable for the above positions is in accordance with our Conditions of Service and will be awarded to the successful applicant accordingly.
