A Bachelor Degree with at least credit for Staff Associate, a MSc for Assistant Lecturer and PHD for Senior Lecturer and above. The qualifications should be in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related fields obtained from a recognized University.

a. Develop and review teaching and learning materials.
b. Carry out curriculum development and reviews.
c. Deliver lectures, seminars and tutorials.
d. Assess students’ performance.
a. Engage in research leading to publication and policy development in the area of specialization.
b. Establish professional networking.
c. Contributes to specialized research groups.
d. Supervise both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
a. Develop and submit grant proposals for research and consultancy.
b. Manage research projects.
c. Conduct short courses.
a. Participate in meetings and other administrative duties as assigned.
a. Quality control check inspections on all construction activities.
b. Weekly reporting to the Project Architect/ Manager on site works.
c. Identifying defects and suggesting ways to correct them.
d. Issuing site works order, keeping detailed records of work and site visitations.
e. Taking records for number of daily workforce returns, materials and daily weather patterns.
f. Checking adherence to health and safety requirements on site.
g. Checking adherence to environmental and social safeguards on site.
h. Reporting progress of works during monthly progress meetings.
i. Supervising routine, occasional and cyclical maintenance and repair work pertaining to infrastructure projects for the University.
j. Assisting in materials estimates for specific projects of the University.
a. Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology or City and Guilds equivalent or related field from a recognised institution of higher learning.
b. At least 5 years’ experience in supervising construction of buildings
All the successful candidates shall be engaged on at least initial 2 years fixed contract before they are can be considered for permanent appointment subject to satisfactory performance. This issue of converting contract to permanent does not apply to posts clearly indicated fixed contracts.
