The Roads Authority (RA) was established by the Roads Act No. 3 of 2006 to ensure that public roads are constructed, maintained or rehabilitated at all times; and to advise the Minister, and where appropriate, the Minister responsible for Local Government on the preparation and efficient and effective implementation of the Annual National Roads Program.
The Roads Authority (RA) is now inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians to fill the vacant position of Director of Planning and Development tenable at its head office, Functional Building in Lilongwe.
The role of the Director of Planning and Development is to ensure effective implementation of planning, design, and research and development activities in RA including procurement, monitoring, and evaluation of the same.
